Kelly Martin

Kelly Martin is an accomplished business litigation and appellate attorney with an extensive background handling complex, high-stakes commercial disputes. Kelly represents a diverse spectrum of clients ranging from major corporations and financial institutions to high-net-worth individuals and small business owners. In doing so, Kelly focuses on crafting high-impact legal arguments tailored to achieve positive outcomes in every matter.

Kelly has substantial experience in both state and federal court, with a commercial litigation practice encompassing disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets, tortious interference, and negligence claims. With a significant background in fiduciary litigation, Kelly has particular experience navigating intricate business divorce disputes and high-value trust matters.

As an appellate advocate, Kelly has a proven track record of overturning substantial adverse verdicts and obtaining favorable relief for clients. She has practiced before nearly all of the Texas Courts of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of Texas.

Prior to joining the firm, Kelly practiced in the business litigation and appellate groups of national and international law firms. Following law school, Kelly gained significant insight to appellate advocacy in Texas, serving as a briefing attorney for the Honorable Eva M. Guzman of the Texas Supreme Court. Committed to public service, Kelly also completed a fellowship as part of the Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Veterans Legal Corps program, where she provided legal representation to veterans and their families regarding consumer, housing, and employment issues.
